Welcome to Knesseth Israel Synagogue, Gloversville, NY

Lay Leader Suzanne SchermerhornKnesseth Israel Synagogue (KIS) is a Conservative synagogue serving the Jewish population of Fulton & Montgomery Counties and surrounding areas in Upstate New York since 1891. At 120+, we are one of the oldest continuously operating congregations in the Northeast,

We are fully egalitarian and encourage each person to participate as much as they wish or are able to. Our services are a mixture of Hebrew & English. We welcome members with all levels of knowledge and experience of Judaism and diverse backgrounds.

We LOVE to sign and our Shlichat Tsibbur (Lay Leader) adds her beautiful voice and her love of Judaism, learning & music to enhance our services.

We invite you join us for weekly & Holiday services. You will be warmly welcomed.
